Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Co-op is now providing its residential and business members an energy and money-saving benefit--free energy audits. Why would SSVEC help its members reduce their electricity use? Because it's cheaper than building new power plants and transmission lines. This program is not the online Home Energy Savings Tool provided by Touchstone Energy via the SSVEC web site. It starts with a call or e-mail to the Energy Audits team to schedule a visit to your home or business by a professional energy auditor. The result is a report that contains recommendations for improving energy efficiency that also includes information about zero-percent financing for energy saving improvements, home energy display units, rebates on Energy Star appliances, and many other programs.
