The survey packet was sent to all of the mailing addresses in the study area, which includes Canelo, Elgin, Patagonia and Sonoita, using a bulk mailing permit. Each packet contained three sheets of paper. The first page was a a pair of cover letters in both English and Spanish on one side of the sheet with the mailing and return addresses on the other side. The fronts and backs of the other two sheets contained the 2-page survey instruments, again in English and Spanish.
